Women Who Take this Birth Doula Workshop come from all walks of life.
 | Ages range from 20 to 60. Some women have given birth themselves, others
have not. |
| Some have a background in the health care field, others work in
unrelated professions. |
| Some have witnessed births, others have never been with a laboring
woman. |
| Some are raising or have raised children, others do not have children to
care for. |
Yet, all women interested in doula work are intrigued by the miracle of
birth.
| Some take a doula training to prepare for supporting a loved one during
an upcoming birth; |
| others desire in-depth knowledge beyond traditional childbirth classes
in preparation of giving birth themselves. |
| Some want to add labor support to the related professional services they
already offer; |
| others are interested in midwifery and want to gain practical experience
in birth. |
| Some come to learn about normal birth as one step of healing from a
traumatic personal experience; |
| others seek to connect with like-minded women who think of birth as
beautiful. |
